Obstetrics Colour Doppler

It is a test performed during the third trimester of pregnancy. It creates an image of the blood flow in the umbilical cord connecting the mother and the fetus. It can be serially done in cases of ‘IUGR’ (intrauterine growth restriction ) or ‘ small for gestational age babies so that the timing of safe delivery can be decided.
